EUROTIRE is an emerging global leader in the design, manufacture, and support of OTR tires for the surface mining industry. Its history spans more than 50 years with large OTR tires being shipped under the Eurotire brand since 2005. Since 2005 Eurotire has invested over $300 million dollars in the expansion and modernization its Bias tire factory in Ukraine, in addition to opening of a state of the art radial tire production facility in Romania. Eurotire currently supplies bias and radial tires, tools, and a wide variety of OTR services to some of the world’s largest mining companies in addition to the most recognized Original Equipment Manufacturers. Eurotire products are in operation on haul trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy support trucks and wheeled equipment around the globe and in the world’s most demanding surface mining applications.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES:

Eurotire’s Ukraine facility was established in 1959 as a Tire Research Institute dedicated to the development of large OTR tires. This facility was fully equipped with OTR tire testing equipment, laboratories and has been modernized with the latest computer technology available in the world today. The Research Institute was directly responsible for the creation of over 250 new OTR tire patents as well as the development of the designs and equipment used to manufacture some of the world’s largest tires up to a 57” rim diameter.

Eurotire’s bias belted factory is located on the original Research Institute site in Dneprepostrovsk, Ukraine. With a $70 million investment, and a $2 million state of the art lab installation this facility has been fully expanded and modernized. It has also achieved ISO9001:2008 Certification. The manufacturing techniques used today incorporate the best nylon cord throughout the tire. From Ukraine, bias tires manufactured here are shipped all over the world.

In 2007 Eurotire embarked on a new $300M radial OTR tire plant in European Union in Romania. The factory incorporates modern, leading edge manufacturing technology and sophisticated process control techniques. 25 in. to 57 in. tires are currently being produced in this new plant. Eurotire will supply increasing volumes of Radial OTR tires to our committed customers. True to the pedigree of the original Eurotire factory, this new site is equipped with one of the most modern laboratories and largest dynamic tire testing facility in Europe. Achievement of ISO9001 at the Romania facility further confirms Eurotire’s commitment to providing high quality OTR tire products and world class service and support to its emerging mining markets customers around the world.

TRAINING FACILITIES:

Last Spring, Eurotire Training Center officially opened its doors. Located in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, the Eurotire Training Center acts as an educational facility for Eurotire employees and customers alike. Training includes Technical, Safety, Commercial, and Industry instruction. The aim of Eurotire’s training center is to further education in the mining industry regarding all OTR related matters. Jack James, a long-time OTR veteran and experienced OTR instructor, has been named Director of the center.
