From the above principles, ECS created a mission statement that summarizes our promise to you:
"Provide the highest quality service to our customers which meets schedule and cost factors across all programs."
ECS opened its doors in 1994 under the name of Engineering Consulting Service. The company was a one man operation ran out of the garage of Tony Curatolo. ECS received its first contract: Host Data Link.
It didn’t take long for ECS to start its growth; we were a subcontractor for the Display System Replacement (DSR). This would guarantee support for years to come.
Tony added an invaluable partner to ECS: Chuck Wiemer. Chuck joined ECS amidst its rapid growth and expansion. Along with the team growth, ECS begins to provide service for a new contract: Display Channel Complex Rehost (DCCR).
ECS formally changes the company name to Enroute Computer Solutions. Accompanying the name change, are more contracts including Oceanic. ECS outgrows its original location and moves to Washington Square.
HOCSR and STARS contracts are added to our list of contracts. They become the second and third largest contracts for the company. With the threat of a Y2K scare, ECS joins in support to combat any possible system malfunctions.
ECS adds its 50th employee to the team.
As the company continues to grow, the home office moves to a new and bigger location in the Egg Harbor Township. This would become the current home of the corporate office for ECS.
ECS acquires JVN Communications, a software development and support company, specializing in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), military, and international civil aviation facilities applications as a fully owned subsidiary. We are awarded the Multiple Area Support Services / Engineering Support Service Area Contract (MASS/ESSA), our first prime contract.
ECS adds its 100th employee to the team.
ECS is awarded the Service Operational Support 8 (SOS-8) contract, as the prime and the SOS-7 contract as a sub-contractor.
ECS is on the list of the INC 500/5000 fastest growing private companies in the United States.
ECS continues to grow and adds additional offices to its headquarters as well as a new location on Fire Road.
ECS earns the distinction of being named one of the ‘Best Places to Work in NJ’.
With over 250 employees, ECS continues to grow by winning contracts based on the great service we provide to all our clients.
