C. Motors and Ancillary Equipment. Since our incorporation, Electric Motor & Transmission has undergone many changes in growth of business that we are today. As the company grew an import and sales network was established for the EMT brand name of 1 phase and 3 phase electric motors, together with a vast distribution network covering both Australia and New Zealand.From the commencement of operations, the company’s reputation for engineered service was quickly established and from a small rewind shop we have grown to be a respected name in the Electric Motor industry.In recent years our product range has expanded to include Variable Frequency Drives, Electro-magnetic Disc Brakes, Pumps and Pumping Equipment, Geared Motors, High Voltage Motors and various types of Engineered Fabricated products.Known for many years by our extensive customer base simply as EMT, the company's name was formally changed to EMT Pty Limited in December 2006 and an expansion to larger warehousing and workshop facilities allowed us to incorporate a new division known as EMT Engineering Services, which provides general machining, engineering and fabrication works, particularly specialising in on-site refurbishment works for Water, Sewerage and Wastewater assets.Further growth came in May 2008 when EMT aquired the Sydney based company Monophase Electrics who specialise in refurbishment works for Defence Force assets.  In keeping with the policy of providing the highest level of service to our clients, EMT have made a commitment to employ the highest level of skills available, ensuring the continuance of quality service to clients that established the company’s original reputation.
