Josef and Kunigunde Schmid-Meier, from Lengnau AG, Emil Schmid's grandparents, settled in Wettingen in 1892 as landlords and carters. Son Johann Schmid followed in his parents' footsteps and took over the trucking business in 1920. In 1922 he bought a furniture Fourgon to move apartments.
1957 son Emil Schmid (3rd generation) came to reinforce his father's truck stop. On this date the conversion from horse business to motorization began. At times, broad-based transport branches were operated at home and abroad.
In 1990 the company adapted to the economic situation and concentrated on the core business. Under the slogan “Moving Logistics”, the company now employs 20 people in the areas of moving, cleaning and disposal.

With the diverse range of services and the motto “everything under one roof”, the Emil Schmid & Partner AG company is right on trend. The four pillars of moving, clearing, cleaning and Uncle Tom's Brocki form the supporting foundation of the Emil Schmid umbrella organization.
The range of offers includes various services - from furniture transport to furniture storage, from clearing, disposal to cleaning, everything is done according to the customer's request. The cleaning division was recently expanded to include the cleaning of solar modules.
