Company history
As early as 1870, Emil Keilich's grandfather in Silesia set the course for trading in raw materials.
With the founding of the Wetzlar company in 1950, Emil Keilich continued the family's traditional path in the raw product business after the war.
With 3,000 square meters of rented land at the beginning, he developed the company into a well-respected steel and non-ferrous metal wholesaler with great determination. Towards the end of the 1970s, the company premises comprised 30,000 square meters of their own property. The steadily increasing demand for highly qualified input material for the steel and foundry industry was taken into account through the use of high-performance, modern processing technology.
The Wetzlar location received important support from the branch in Stadtallendorf, which was built in 1953 and is now 28,000 square meters in size.
Consistent medium-sized company policy, even after the company's founder died in 1985, allowed the company to grow into a competent and reliable partner for the steel and foundry industry.
In January 1999 our company was taken over by Mr. Gerhard and Thomas Lenhart from raw material recycling in Wetzlar. Thus the continuation of the Keilich company as a family business was guaranteed.
