The increase in reuse, recycling and recovery of materials present in waste requires the separation and reorganization of the various components.

EMaRES will pursue this objective through the following actions:

Source selection (TSA-DI). Moving from the concept of "separate" collection to that of "selected".

Mechanical selection (GESENU-DI). Extraction of recyclable and recoverable materials from mixed and residual waste.

Biological treatment (GESENU-DI). Production of renewable energy from the organic fraction, improvement of the agronomic characteristics of the compost, reconstitution of the carbon sink.
