During the conception of ACQ Office, it was discovered that there was a lot of electronics being disposed of at the local dump. Recycling and Reuse has been a long time concept so with that it was a natural occurance that someone had to be responsible and recycle or reuse electronics. In 2005 California enacted the Electronic Waste Recycling Act: SB20 and SB50 (www.calrecycle.ca.gov) banning many electronic devices from landfills. Thus the implementatin of SB20 in 2003 & SB50 in 2004. Electronic Waste Management was the end result and was one of the first State Approved Collectors (CEWID#102857). The business actually started before 1996 since there was a driving need.

Electronic Waste Managment has kept true to its initial conception of recycling and reusing electronic products and materials. EWM offers FREE services to the public and businesses. This starts with a permanent site to drop-off electronics to various community based events. In addition pre-qualified business pick-ups,elderly and handicapped pick-ups.In 2012, Electronic Waste Management was so determined to show the World their commitment to recycling and reusing they made the decision to go through the R2 Certification process. By December all of the work had been completed and was not only R2 Certified but ISO 14001. In 2013, Electronic Waste Management went through the process to become R2:2013 and OHSAS 18001 Certified.
