According to the results of the competitive selection conducted by the State Committee of the Pskov Region for Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the status of the Regional Operator for the Management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) in the Pskov Region was assigned to EKOPROM LLC (Northern and Southern zones).

The powers of the regional operator include all issues of organizing environmentally safe management of MSW. The waste management service becomes complex and becomes a communal service . The MSW management service includes the collection, transportation, sorting, neutralization and disposal of MSW.

The activities of the Regional Operator in the field of MSW management are carried out according to a single tariff established by the State Committee of the Pskov Region on Tariffs and Energy. The regional operator is not entitled to change the tariff independently.

The main task of the regional operator is to form a modern standard for the quality of MSW management in the Pskov region, focused on improving the quality of the environmental situation in the region. Organized collection, regular export, sorting and subsequent mandatory recycling of useful fractions (plastic, paper, glass), the creation of modern landfills and the prevention of spontaneous dumps is a big job of the regional operator, which is built on the environmental awareness of the regions residents.
