On January 12, 1987 Eisenhart Joists & Deck, Inc. opened its doors for business.Operating out of her residence she started as a joist and deck broker. The company was founded on a strong family bond with her grandfather and a set of morals and principles. Eisenhart Joists and Deck, Inc. focused on a basic business philosophy that “every customer is our only customer”, and “every job is our only job”.

After struggling to compete in a business due to being “women owned” and striving to thrive in a “man’s world” she began to build a customer base and a reputation. Five years later in order to keep up with the competition Eisenhart Joists & Deck, Inc. began offering steel packages to include joists, deck, structural, misc. metals and erection.She started in the basement of her home and within 10 years graduated to erecting a concrete tilt-up building in an industrial park, which serves at her present location, 17 Barnhart Drive, Hanover, PA 17331She no longer is the sole employee of the corporation… with a full work staff to include but not limited to, an estimating dept, project management, and a fabrication shop. She has now gone from a “She” to a “We”.Projects include, but not limited to commercial, industrial, retail, nursing homes and schools.

Eisenhart Joists & Deck, Inc is centrally located in a growing area which, includes south central PA, northern, MD and southern PA. We are a certified WBE in PA, MD, VA and DE. With the present economic conditions we are grateful to carry such honors.Due to the negative effect the Joist & Deck had on the name, in that contractors thought that is all we do, we incorporated in June of 2015 to Eisenhart Steel Co, Inc vs a DBA.

Eisenhart Joists & Deck, Inc is still operating as the minority company as well as for the sale of materials.Eisenhart Steel Co, Inc has completed projects as small as 5000 sq. ft. up to 890,000 sq. ft. and we continue to grow in size in that we are bidding larger projects.Our forte is retail, commercial, tilt up buildings and minority required school additions. We stay away from renovations as there is too much unforeseen,All Steel is fabricated per AISC standards, and we have accessibility to AISC certified shops when contract required which allows us the capability to do almost any size project.At present we have everything to meet your structural steel needs to include:
