EISEN RUDI - Schmid oHG is a traditional recycling company for metal and iron scrap in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. Since the company was founded in 1956 by Rudolf Nemela in Fürstenfeldbruck, the company is currently in the third generation.

Our company history

Our recycling specialist can look back on more than 50 years of history:

1956

Foundation of the company by Rudolf Nemela in Fürstenfeldbruck, Dachauer Straße. Rudolf Nemela collected scrap all over the city, so he was soon called "Eisen Rudi". The name is retained to this day due to its popularity.

1959

Relocation of the company within Fürstenfeldbruck to Landsberger Straße.

1978

Rudolf Nemela and Manfred Schmid found the actual Eisen Rudi GbR. The company's headquarters are relocated to the Hasenheide industrial park in Fürstenfeldbruck on a 3,000 square meter site at Am Fohlenhof 3.

1985

The company premises grow by a further 2,000 square meters to a total area of ​​now 5,000 square meters. In addition, the name was changed from GbR to oHG.

1997/98

Rudolf Nemela withdraws from the oHG, Brigitte Schmid takes his place and Eisen Rudi Schmid oHG receives its certification as a scrap car dismantling company.

2005/07

After Alexander Schmid took over the management of the operational business in 2005, the total operating area was expanded to 12,000 square meters by 2007.

2008

Eisen Rudi Schmid oHG receives certification as a waste management company.
