EDS is privately owned and operated by the Loos Family. Dan A. Loos, the 4th generation in the waste hauling industry, started EDS in 1975. His great grandfather began the family's original trash company back in 1896 with a horse and wagon. Today, Dan is retired, and his son Preston and daughter D'Lana, the fifth generation, oversee the business.
As a family-owned business since 1896, Colorado is our home too and we care about our neighbors and the environment. We are actively involved in recycling and developing new processes for the future. Our experience and community connection are just a few reasons why we excel at providing the best service and most innovative waste management solutions to date.
We've come a long way since the horse and wagon! And, since the sale of the collection assets to Waste Management in November 2012, we have been able to expand our Evergreen Transfer Station and Recycle Center and our Bergen Park Recycle Center to continue bringing our friends and neighbors the most reliable and efficient drop off service available in the mountain foothills. We look forward to expanding even more, as we are currently searching for sites in Clear Creek, Gilpin and Park Counties to provide additional free recycle drop off sites to the community.
