Ecoricerche was born in 1991 as a spin-off of a waste management company, from the idea of ​​the two founding partners Roberto Bassissi and Gianfranco Giancarli. It is the year of release of Queen's album "Innuendo", who with the magnificent "The show must go on" gave several generations the desire to move forward in projects, dreams and even in adversity. But above all it is the year that will change the lives of all of us: the Internet era begins. A CERN researcher finds the solution to the problem of how to share documents between scholars, developing software based on the concept of hypertext, which he himself calls the World Wide Web. It is in these years that our society moves its first steps, in a historical period in which environmental and worker safety legislation is not yet completely defined, making it necessary to offer technical and consultancy support to local businesses. The company is driven by the firm desire to create a reference in the territory, which is why in the early years it was enriched by some technicians specialized in the chemical and environmental fields, but at the time there were no expert figures in such a new subject yet. The customers themselves participate in the project more for self-discipline and environmental responsibility, than for the existence of specific laws.

However, something is changing: environmental data, accidents in the workplace, statistical reports on the impacts of anthropic activities, make sector laws necessary, tools that create those sustainable conditions already identified in prodromal form in the Civil and Criminal Codes.
