Eco-Sist d.o.o. is one of the links in the chain of recycling and destruction of industrial and hazardous waste, bearing in mind that, in addition to its good intentions, PCB compounds are characterized by exceptional toxicity, which puts it in the group of extremely hazardous and harmful substances. PCB compounds have all the characteristics of hazardous waste, which include not only their toxicity, but also carcinogenicity, teratogenicity and mutagenicity, or biohazard characteristics, and as such adversely affect human health and biosystems and pose a significant risk of environmental pollution, water, air and land. Inadequate and risky treatment, as well as waste management is one of the biggest problems in the field of environmental protection. According to the Basel Convention, polychlorinated biphenyls (Y10, Y45) belong to the category of hazardous waste and are subject to a special characterization procedure and the prescribed method of managing their flows from generation, transport, processing to the final destruction of Eco Sist d.o.o. deals with the protection and conservation of biodiversity, primarily through services of studies and testing of the impact of power facilities on flora and fauna, and their impact on the mortality of migratory birds due to electric shock, bearing in mind that from the beginning of the global electrification process stress transformation facilities are an indispensable structural element of bird habitat. A huge number of species use them for keeping, observing the environment for hunting, nesting and resting. In some cases, in deforested lowland habitats, these are the only prominent elements that birds land on.
