The "ECO SAVE" Foundation represents a Collective System for taking over and honoring the extended responsibility for the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (hereinafter WEEE), in order to reduce the impact on the environment and human health, thus contributing to a sustainable development of society .

The "ECO SAVE" Foundation Collective System is created by the effect of Law No. 209 of 29.07.2016 regarding Waste (hereinafter Law 209/2016), Government Decision No. 212 of 07.03.2018 for the approval of the regulation on electrical and electronic equipment waste (hereinafter HG 212/2018) and Law No. 86 of 11.06.2020 regarding non-commercial organizations, registered at the ASP in the State Register of Legal Entities including on 03.12.2020, and at the Environment Agency, where we obtained the Environmental Authorization for the management of waste from the activities related to of the implementation of extended producer responsibility, series 005, no. AM 21060709 of 30.06.2021.

We have a well-trained team in WEEE management, fully taking over the obligations of Manufacturers and/or Importers regarding the management of electrical and electronic equipment (hereafter EEE) and WEEE on their behalf, to ensure and supervise the entire data collection and reporting process statistics regarding the placing of EEE on the market, the collection of WEEE, sorting, packaging, temporary storage, their recovery, transport to the final recycler (as appropriate), respectively recycling and reporting to the Environmental Authorities, so that at the end, WEEE- ures to no longer represent a danger to the environment and human health.

In the same way, the Foundation also contributes to the promotion of ecological solutions aimed at environmental problems in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the promotion among citizens, especially young people, of dialogue and solidarity regarding environmental problems.

More than that, the Foundation has created a well-defined strategy in its statute, and the goals and methods of activity are to be fulfilled according to the statute. Thus, up to now the Foundation has fulfilled its established objectives, i.e. we are going to develop and achieve the fulfillment of all statutory goals.

The basic objectives in general of the Collective System are to protect the environment, and in particular to implement the extended responsibility of the producer (hereafter REP) according to art. 12 para. (14) of Law 209/2016.

Another important objective for us in development (REP), is the development of the circular economy which is a model of production and consumption and involves sharing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as much as possible. In this way, the life cycle of the products to be extended. In practice, this involves minimizing waste. When a product reaches the end of its useful life, the materials from which it is made are kept within the economy whenever possible. They can be used again and again, thus creating additional value.
