DSB

Since it was founded in 1993, the Düren service company has developed into a "full-range provider" of municipal and private services. The times when the garbage disposal only picked up the garbage from your front door are long gone.

"We enjoy our work"

The economic success and the increased "service" were so convincing that the city of Düren added further municipal tasks to the DSB. In 2001, green and cemetery maintenance, forestry, the building yard and, in 2006, the operation of the Düren bathing lake were integrated into the DSB. As an aside, the largest container service in the city of Düren was set up and building cleaning was transferred to a wholly-owned communal GmbH.

Control is good, Trust is better!

New trend-setting and interdisciplinary work models with a high degree of personal responsibility and responsibility for results were developed and put into practice.

Solidarity, like in the family, between employer and employee is lived in the company. Identification with the company and a high level of motivation are internalized. The social concerns of the employees were not forgotten, but the signs of the times were recognized years ago. Including the staff council, everyone is pulling in the same direction: hard but warm!

Costs and services clearly separated, not subsidized by waste fees and of course taxable. A TÜV-certified waste management company with which the local companies are also extremely satisfied. This is also evidenced by the award of the SME Prize by the former Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber.

Everyone was particularly proud when the city of Düren with the nationwide best placement of municipalities over 50,000 inhabitants in the initiative "Clean municipality - red card against wild garbage"was awarded by the German Association of Towns and Municipalities and the Clean Landscape Campaign under the patronage of the Federal Environment Ministry. The prize was endowed with € 3,333 and was presented by the Hessian Environment Minister Wilhelm Dietzel . Clean is cool!

It has also paid off for the city - the cost savings for the city since the merger of DSB, green and cemetery maintenance, forestry, the building yard and bathing lake have been around € 2 million annually! Ultimately, everyone in Düren who sees the DSB as their company today will benefit from this development.
