About Company

Dorex Minerals Inc. is a base and precious metals exploration and development company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “DOX” and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the coding “A9L”. The Company’s objective is to aggressively explore and develop it’s 2,400 hectare Carmelita Property, located within the Coastal Belt of the Andean Cordillera of Chile. The property is in a geological environment that is somewhat similar to that of the prolific copper producing regions to the north at Cardelaria and Manto Verde.

In June 2006, the Company identified several targets with high grade results and began a Phase 1 exploration program, consisting of road building, prospecting, mapping, rock and soil sampling, trenching and assays. A Geological Report is being prepared.

In 1992, ENAMI, the national mining company of Chile, conducted sampling at the Zorzal mine itself, with the goal being to re-open the old mine for feed to one of its local facilities. A total of 40 channel samples from the workings and from nearby outcrops were taken during this sampling program. The Copper grades ranged from 4.59% to 0.83%, Gold grades ranged from 1g/t to 0.1g/t and Silver grades ranged from 11 g/t to 1 g/t.

In June 2006, Dorex Minerals obtained three samples from clean outcroppings. The results were very encouraging with Copper grades ranging from 3.66% to 2.43% and Gold 785 ppb to 250.3 ppb.

At the present time, Dorex Minerals Inc. plans to identify drill targets and commence a drilling program to further delineate the potential of the Carmelita Property.

Along with the Chilean Carmelita Property, Dorex Minerals Inc also has a 75% interest in the 6.93 sq. km Podpolom Property and Klokoc Exploration License area located within the northern extension of the Carpathian Volcanic Arc of central Slovakia. The property is fully licensed for exploration and production by the Slovak Republic.

In February 1996, Rhodes Slovakia s.r.o., a subsidiary of Rhodes Mining NL of Perth Australia, undertook a program over 26.3 sq. kilometer Javorie license. The currently constituted Podpolom property is within the boundries of the Javorie license, of which Rhodes main focus was the oxide gold mineralization in the Podpolom quarry area.

Between September 1996 and December 1997 Rhodes drilled 22 holes totalling 1,680 meters. Significant oxide gold mineralization was intersected over a strike length og 150 meters at the Podpolom target. Only three holes drilled at the Podpolom target failed to return anomalous gold mineralization, and ten holes intersected highly anomalous, near surface gold in core. The Gold ranges were 2.64 g/t to 0.59 g/t.

Over the course of their two years, Rhodes conducted several soil geochemical, stream sediment and rock chip prosecting programs over the 16 individual IP anomalies that were recognized on the Javorie license. A total of 6 gold in soil anomalies were identified during this program but most didn’t receive any follow up, as Rhodes discontinued exploration in Slovakia in 1998 due to the global downturn in metal prices.

At the present time, Dorex Minerals Inc. is focusing on the Carmelita Property in Chile due to it’s favorable geological setting, excellent infrastructure and positive environmental consultant for mining companies.
