DoorGeek.com was founded by Saily Hernandez along with the help of her husband Alex without any money to start. They slowly built the company they have today, out of their home. Saily's determination and attention to detail helped her build a strong costumer base. She started her career in this field working as a dispatcher for a local Locksmith and Door Company in the early 1990's. The company started a training program and she signed up because her husband kept teasing her that she was not able to do a "man’s job". After working with the same locksmith company for six years she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 to start her apprenticeship as a Door and Locksmith technician. She worked for Alliance Locksmith and Doors for seven years and became the first female manager for the company. Along the way, she spent her spare time learning the door and locksmith trade by volunteering to help with door and locksmith technicians. In 2011, the family decided to move back to Miami, Florida to start their own company, DoorGeek.Com, which specializes in service, repair, and installation of doors and hardware. The business steadily grew and more employees were added, along with more equipment and facilities. However, as they continue to grow they strive to maintain as a family oriented company, committed to be the best at what they do. Saily and Alex are now taking the company to another level by introducing their eldest daughter Cindy to continue to move the company forward with the help of her sisters, Leslie and Emily.
