A safety program was implemented in 1989 with a Drug and Alcohol Program added in 1990 to confirm our commitment. These programs gave DKD the opportunity to establish ongoing training in these areas accentuating our commitment to safety as our number one value.The results of these programs, along with DKD’s philosophy of zero accidents and injuries, has proven to be effective—not only in our safety record on the job—but by the reduced cost of workman’s compensation. DKD’s safety record is outstanding. In the last 8 years, DKD has had one lost time accident in over 2,500,000 man-hours. Over two million man-hours have been completed without lost time.
