DJS recycling and disposal technology was founded in 1990 by Dr. Ing.Joachim Schilling founded. Initially, the company focused on the removal and disposal of contaminated sites.

The great demand at the time for the removal of oil contaminated earth and concrete led to the construction of the first processing plant for mineral oil contaminated material in East Germany. With an annual capacity of 50,000 t, it was one of the largest plants in Germany.

In the following years there was a change from exclusive disposal services to active environmental protection. The company profile expanded to include water protection systems. Due to the proximity to the energy suppliers in the region, the range of services would be increasingly adapted to the special requirements of this group of customers.

For about 10 years we have been able to cover the entire spectrum of waste disposal by energy providers. These services range from the disposal of equipment contaminated with oil and of oil ground cables to the recycling of transformers of various types.

As part of the voluntary commitment made by the energy industry in 2005 to recover SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride) and minimize climate-damaging gases, our company qualified in this field. Today we are able to recycle switchgear and high-voltage systems with sulfur hexafluoride in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner. These services are offered throughout the entire Federal Republic of Germany.

In addition to our work, we constantly carry out research and development work to improve our services and open up new areas of work.
