Diversified Metalworks is a steel erection and metal decking company that was formed in 1978.  Diversified began its operations as a structural and miscellaneous steel erector located in the city of Garden Grove, California.   The company has relocated twice in the last thirty-four years and its headquarters are currently in the city of Orange.  From this location, Diversified Metalworks runs projects throughout California and Nevada.  Currently, Diversified Metalworks works with over forty Contractors and employs up to 200 Union Ironworkers throughout California.  As an AISC Certified Steel Erector (CSE) and small business enterprise, Diversified Metalworks performs work in all phases of Commercial, Industrial, Public Works, and Private construction.  Diversified has completed more than one thousand five hundred contracts, which include projects for schools, hospitals, universities, local refineries, and military bases.  Some of the more significant projects include:  Nummi Stamping Plant, BMW Engineering Center, Highland Hospital, LAWA Cargo Building, Airtouch Regional Headquarters, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Minimed, Boeing Building 30, Nokia Product Creation Center, International Gateway, The Grove @ Farmers Market, and Burbank Empire Center.

It is Diversified Metalwork's policy to provide a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment for everyone. Excellent safety and health conditions do not occur by chance. They are the result of diligent work and careful attention to company policies by everyone.Effective safety demands cooperation on everyone’s part. It is important that communication be kept open at all times. For this reason, Diversified Metalwork's management practices an open door policy. Workers who notice hazards or other safety problems, or feel that they need additional training, must notify their supervisor. Supervisors and management must address these concerns and take corrective action when warranted. Everyone is obligated to know the safety requirements and standards for their area or job and to abide by them. Supervisors must instill a positive attitude and awareness of the Safety Culture in their workers through personal adherence, personal contact, training, and regularly scheduled safety meetings. It is the duty of all employees to perform their work with maximum regard for the safety of themselves and co-workers. Our safety policies are an integral part of the company’s personnel policies. This means that compliance with the policies is a condition of employment and must be taken seriously. Failure to comply with the Safety Program and Policy is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Safety and health are every bit as important as productivity and quality. If a job cannot be done safely, it will not be done.
