Our services and solutions fall into four main categories:
We install, repair and maintain a full range of services:
Since Design Mechanical’s founding in 1984, we have worked to become the region’s premier HVAC and mechanical systems installer and services provider. Here’s how we do it: First, we’re an innovation- and technology-driven company, which helps us anticipate problems and give our customers the best possible solutions. As part of Comfort Systems USA, we share technological successes and best practices across a large network of companies. Second, we know we owe our success entirely to satisfied customers. The majority of the work we do is for repeat customers who come to us project after project. They know that our technical skills, integrity, responsiveness and uncompromising teamwork will take them successfully from project concept to completion—without complication, on time and within budget.
The mission of Design Mechanical is to provide the best-value HVAC and mechanical systems installation and service, while caring for our customers, employees and the environment. We strive to deliver innovative mechanical designs and builds and to provide ongoing maintenance tailored to the needs of our customers. We want to increase the capabilities, function and growth of our customers’ businesses. We do it right, right from the start.
These values define, inform and guide the way we operate on a daily basis, both within the company and in the communities where we do business:
Since our inception in 1984, Design Mechanical has emerged as one of Colorado’s leading commercial HVAC and plumbing contractors. We have designed and installed systems for projects including corporate office buildings, retail space, multi-family residences, clean rooms, computer rooms, hospitals and research laboratories.
Design Mechanical merged with Comfort Systems USA, one of the nation’s largest commercial mechanical contractors. Comfort Systems currently consists of approximately 40 companies nationwide, with revenues exceeding $1.5 billion. In addition to the financial backing of a large public corporation, the merger afforded Design Mechanical the ability to tap into the expertise and experience of a wide network of companies and therefore to further improve and expand the services we offer.
Design Mechanical merged with Helm Corporation, another Comfort Systems company located in Denver, CO. The addition of Helm to the Design Mechanical team increased our abilities in the prefabrication of plumbing and piping systems.
We merged with Colorado Plumbing Service, a Comfort Systems USA company located in Rifle, CO, that serves the Aspen and Vail markets. The merger benefited the existing customers of Colorado Plumbing, who are now able to enjoy the increased services and capabilities that the larger Design Mechanical network offers.
Western Building Services (another Comfort Systems company) merged with Design Mechanical. This merger streamlined all the service capabilities of the two separate operations into one location in Louisville, Colorado.
We acquired Breckenridge Mechanical, which continues to operate under that name in Breckenridge, Colorado, as a division of Design Mechanical. The division provides plumbing and HVAC service to the Summit County and Eagle County markets.
We were excited to acquire Rocky Mountain Mechanical Systems, located in Denver, Colorado. Rocky Mountain Mechanical, similar to Breckenridge Mechanical, continues to operate under its existing name as a division of Design Mechanical Inc. Rocky Mountain Mechanical Systems’ background in industrial refrigeration and experience with the installation, maintenance and service of larger chiller systems added new capabilities to Design Mechanical. Design Mechanical is currently one of the most complete mechanical contractors in the state of Colorado, with over 300 employees and annual revenues exceeding $65 million.
