De Knop Recycling BV is a service company active in the recovery of scrap, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Our main activity consists of removing scrap from factories, metal processing companies and scrap producers.

Both companies and private individuals can deliver their old ferrous and non-ferrous metals directly to our site in Molenbeek.

De Knop Recycling BV is active in the recycling of all ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as:

• tin
• aluminum label
• lead
• stainless steel
• zinc
• etc ...

But we also take care of the collection and recycling of other metal-containing waste such as:

• batteries
• electric motors
• radiographs
• accumulators
• etc ...

De Knop Recycling BV is also recognized for the recovery of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Since 2013, our company has also been ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015 certified by AIB Vincotte.

The company currently has a fleet of 6 vehicles and 130 containers from 1 to 20m³ that it makes available to its customers.

HISTORY

It all started in 1903, Joseph De Knop was a horse carter who went to collect scrap metal from traders and factories by horse and cart.

THE PASSION FOR RECYCLING WAS BORN IN THE FAMILY!

The company has expanded more and more over the years.

In 1926 his son, Victor Deknop, who had been in the profession since he was 14, succeeded him. He developed the company in an industrial way by purchasing various machines such as metal presses and shears.

After the Second World War, grandson Joseph Deknop entered the company. In 1951 Victor Deknop finally handed over the torch completely to his grandson. Joseph Deknop also contributed to the evolution of the company, he introduced transport of scrap metal by container.

In 1968 the great-grandson Maurice De Knop finally entered the company. A year later in 1969, son-in-law Robert Ecker, married to Marie-Josée Deknop, also made his entrance.

After several years of experience, in 1986 Maurice and Robert took up the challenge and together created the company Ets De Knop Etn.

Over the years, the company continued to grow and a continuous circle of evolution was underway. The children of Robert and Maurice have also been active in the company for several years, which led to the decision in 2010 to turn Ets Deknop Etn into De Knop Recycling BV / SRL.

It is currently already the sixth generation of reclaimers awaiting the seventh.

THE FUTURE IS THE RECYCLING OF SECONDARY RAW MATERIALS.
