Founded in 1969 by Wes Berry and Dorsey Wire, DD Wire Company is a family owned and operated metal fabricator. Dorsey Wire grew up during the "Golden Age of the Automobile" and he dreamed of someday building them. Early in his career, Wire worked for Frank Kurtis, famed Indy car builder. After many years of work in automotive production, he moved on to McDonald Douglas Aircraft furthering his experience in design and fabrication as a layout specialist. In 1969, Wire asked his son-in-law, Wes Berry, to join him in establishing DD Wire Company. Berry's background was in artistic layouts and ad designs, working in the corporate advertising and design world for such notable companies as Sears, Hass Zimmerman Advertising, and Pacific Miniatures. Berry also worked artistically with various metals, producing metal sculptures. These skills transitioned well into the fabrication of diverse and unique part designs.

The company has continued its family-centered tradition with the recent addition of David Berry, Wes's son. A Business graduate of Azusa Pacific University, David Berry's efforts are focused on sales, finance, and integrating the company's quoting and job processing systems.Jim Howe has been with the company since 1991. Howe, a Pepperdine School of Business MBA, plays an integral role in day-to-day operations and is focused on the company's strategic planning and overall business strategy. Howe planned and completed the company's aggressive laser department addition as well as the newly constructed corporate headquarters building. Further, Howe has been instrumental in establishing an outside sales/marketing component, as well as significantly increasing overall sales during his tenure.

Currently employing over 40 individuals, DD Wire occupies two facilities with over 35,000 square feet under roof. Moving into the new millennium, the Company's multi-generational team is committed to excellence as they look forward to proactively addressing the needs of their customers.  Pictured here, D.D.
