David Alvarez Sheet Metal is a second-generation service company. Founded in 1979, we offer years of experience and craftsmanship that can only come from this kind of longevity. History

Our sustained success is deeply rooted in our company’s 30-plus year history as a second-generation family business- one based on capability, a commitment to hard work, long term relationships and the very best value we can offer to our clients.

David Alvarez Sheet Metal was founded by its namesake over three decades ago in Houston, Texas. His lifetime of education and experience began long before that in a sheet metal program at the Houston Technical Institute (HTI). After school he further honed his talent at a local sheet metal company where he learned the ins and outs of the business from his predecessors.

David Alvarez Sheet Metal, LLP originated as a sheet metal company, but when founder David Alvarez Sr. noticed an opportunity to cleverly combine both metal flashing and roofing expertise for his clients, he eliminated the need for two different trades. As a result, he came upon a very long-lasting, successful venture creating a full service roofing and specialty metal work company that offered the best of both worlds.

At the young age of fourteen, David Alvarez, Jr. worked alongside his father to learn the trade, and only five years later took the reins and brought his own unique talents to further forge ahead his late father’s business. Today, the company is still a family-run business with both David’s mother and sister involved in operations.

David Alvarez, Jr. has built a solid team by recruiting and hiring team members based on character, attitude, and integrity. Many of who, have been with the company for over 10 years and some for closer to 30. Currently the company employs 32 team members that leave nothing behind but good impressions, and craftsmanship that goes beyond industry standard. David Alvarez’s fully insured team members have been well-trained to understand how metal coincides with roof coverings of all materials, shapes and sizes, creating elements for homes and businesses that will last for years to come.

From the company’s early beginnings to where it is today a reputation has been built that clients recognize and appreciate. Some of David’s clients and partnerships are as old as the company is. This type of long-term commitment takes an immense amount of effort and a daily dedication to our longtime and loyal employees, clients and manufacturers. It is for that reason, David Alvarez is determined to lead the company with the standards set so high by his father only with new levels of technological and innovative refinement.
