Paper and plastic are recyclable raw materials that can form the basis for the production of new paper and plastic. Recycling waste paper relieves nature. It ensures 90% less CO2 emissions compared to new production where wood serves as a raw material. Recycling plastic prevents large amounts from entering the environment. Reuse is therefore much more sustainable for both raw materials. CVB Ecologistics is the link between suppliers of recyclable raw materials and the manufacturing industry.

Family business

Transparency, reliability and stability are important in our organization. This makes sense, because CVB Ecologistics is a family business. Recycling is our 'core business', but also a way of life that does not stop outside work. Our employees are aware of this and encourage each other in this. No paper to waste

The letters CVB in the company name stand for the initials of the founder: Cees van Berkel. In 1994 he bought an interest in Heijnen Papierhandel (now CVB Recycling), located in Tilburg.

In the years that followed, the foundation for the current company structure was laid. The coverage area was expanded through a series of acquisitions of Dutch and Belgian recycling companies, specializing in waste paper. The core activity became regional collection of waste paper and cardboard, with a sale of pure raw materials on a global scale.

The takeover period has led to what CVB Ecologistics is today, with its head office in Tilburg and ten production facilities spread across the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

The current management consists of the daughter of the founder: Linda van Berkel and Richard Getkate.

Reduce, reuse, recycle

In 2012, CVB Ecologistics started a new activity: the processing of recyclable plastic into raw material for new products.

This expansion strengthens the circular process within our organization. It fits in seamlessly with the total processing of residual flows that we offer to our suppliers and increases our range of pure raw materials for the manufacturing industry.

We are always looking for the best recycling methods with the aim of relieving the environment as much as possible when processing residual flows.

Diversification

In January 2017 textile recycling company Vernooy Textile Recyclers joined the CVB Ecologistics group.  This family business realizes maximum reuse of textiles as a product and as a raw material. 

Vernooy Textile Recyclers supplies textile raw materials such as wool and cotton that are used in new clothing and other products. Extensive sorting takes place in the company within the framework of maximum realization of product reuse. This to meet broad customer demand. 

In this way, Vernooy Textile Recyclers processes 15,000 tons of textile clothing per year. The company is based in Tilburg.
