MISSION STATEMENT
Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is to serve its members with a dependable supply of electricity and related services consistent with sound business practices and cooperative principles.
TO OUR MEMBERS:
To maintain the Cooperative on a non-profit, progressive and continuing basis in accordance with its bylaws and articles of incorporation, and to keep the membership informed about the manner of operation, progress, plans, and problems concerning their Cooperative, and to develop their support and understanding through member involvement.
To provide an adequate, reliable supply of electrical energy to all who desire it within the service area of the Cooperative at the lowest cost consistent with sound economical practices, efficient management and concern for our environment.
To encourage the safe and efficient use of electricity in the home, on the farm, and in business and industry to the end that it will contribute to increasing community and family income, improve standards of living, and will add dignity, meaning, and satisfaction to life.
To exemplify the Cooperative's reputation for prompt and efficient service, courtesy, integrity, dependability, honesty, technical competence, and productive ability.
TO OUR EMPLOYEES:
To recognize that recruitment and selection of the best people for the Cooperative is probably the most important element in building a successful organization, and that through proper job assignments, training, development, communications, and promotions, high employee morale is achieved and maintained.

MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES
TO OUR ASSOCIATED ORGANIZATIONS:
To actively participate in supporting and formulating policies of the Central Electric Power Cooperative, Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and other organizations for the benefit and welfare of rural electric systems and their members.
TO THE PUBLIC:
To cooperate with other organizations, agencies, and groups in the promotion of new and expanded business and industry, community and public facilities, and human resource development projects.
To magnify the Cooperative's position as a good citizen in the communities in and near the service area and maintain a current knowledge of governmental and other programs that could benefit the membership.
To demonstrate responsible environmental stewardship in all aspects of the Cooperative's operations.
THE USE OF CAPITAL:
To continuously seek resources of low-cost capital and to use the financial resources of the Cooperative in the most efficient manner.
To support and strengthen sources of long term capital through financial institutions and establish controls which will assure that financial resources are utilized most efficiently.
IMPLEMENTATION:
The management of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative will work toward the realization of these objectives through periodic preparation of specific short and long term programs through an effective organization plan utilizing proven management methods, policies, procedures, and techniques.
The Board of Directors, General Manager/CEO, and staff of the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, in working to achieve these objectives, will serve in the best interest of the members and employees and make a continuing contribution toward the public welfare.
