Criterion Tool & Die was founded in 1953 by Mike Ondercin as a general machine shop. Today Criterion is a precision machine shop specializing in close tolerance (+/- .0002) Swiss Turning, CNC Turning and CNC Milling of precision components from prototype through production quantities.An integrated Job Shop Control System and a certified Quality Assurance program utilizing a Global Advantage 5x5x5 mm CMM support manufacturing at Criterion. Operating in the JIT mode, Criterion is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and in compliance with GMP standards. Our FDA number is 152 8668. Criterion Tool & Die / Criterion Instrument is a female owned, non-union shop where continuing education is encouraged and funded. The management team, office staff, apprentices, journeymen toolmakers and precision machinists strive to remain current in the latest technologies and continue to develop their skills. DFARS Compliance - Criterion will manufacture fasteners/components using specialty metal smelted in the U.S.A. or a qualifying country per DFARS 252.225-7014 Alt. 1. Confidentiality - Due to the nature of our work, we routinely execute confidentiality agreements with our customers and we enforce them quite diligently. All employees have executed confidentiality agreements with us. All visitors and vendors are also required to sign confidentiality agreements, as deemed necessary and appropriate. Access to our manufacturing areas is strictly controlled.
