DESCRIPTION

Corell Contractor, Inc. was founded in 1959 by Steve Corell with the purchase of a front end loader and a lowboy. Having grown up around the business and working for his father, Steve’s experience digging basements and hauling rock for area contractors grew into working as a grading subcontractor on the Interstate 235 excavation.

Today, Corell Contractor has established itself as Central Iowa’s premier site development contractor. Working on a wide variety of projects ranging from residential subdivisions, commercial and retail developments, public infrastructure and roadway improvements. Steve’s son, Grant, joined the company after working many summers in various roles throughout the company and graduating from the University of Iowa.

Corell Contractor continues to grow with focus and investment in safety, GPS technology, computer automation, the latest equipment. Corell Contractor is also the exclusive statewide outlet for a special soil called CU Structural soil manufactured to eliminate tree roots from damaging building foundations, streets and other pavements.

The family business is dedicated to the development of the industry with support and involvement of industry organizations such as National Underground Contractors Association of Central Iowa, Construction Financial Management Association, Construction Materials Recycling Association, and the Heavy Highway Contractors Association. Corell Contractor also realizes that continued growth is dependant on outstanding customer service which means delivering a high quality finished product on time and on budget.
