Our Moto: “Protecting Your Bottom Line”
Vision/Mission: Making our world a cleaner place … Containment Corporation exists to provide our customers spill prevention and control solutions!
Business Status: A California Corporation, incorporated in 1988. Privately held. Structured as a small business.
Location: 42045 Remington Ave., Suite 101- Temecula, CA 92590
Company History: Containment Corporation was formed in 1988 to market the first polyethylene spill containment pallet for four drums. The Contain-It Plus Spill Pallet was designed and patented by a chemist, Dr. Don Atkins, through his work with oil companies. In our formative years Containment Corporation focused on its own product line which expanded to provide off the shelf spill containment solutions for pails, drums, IBC/Totes, batteries, etc. With the turn of the century Containment Corporation expanded its vision to encompass product solutions beyond its own manufacturing capabilities. By aligning with key manufacturing partners (presently six partners) around the country, the company has been able to expand on the solutions it can offer the customer to include fuel tank trucks and rail tank cars, and above ground tanks, tank farms, and machinery, generators, transformers, etc.
Another key management decision was to focus the company’s marketing attention in large part on the demand for spill containment solutions in the U.S. military. The company now holds both GSA and DLA contracts. Our products are employed by the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army Reserve, National Guard and Air National Guard, the US Coast Guard, etc. Containment Corporation with its manufacturing partner, PolyStar Inc., introduced the Tri-Star containment system in 2001, a surface mounted, all steel, modular containment system. Working with the Army National Guard to design a truly “soldier proof” containment system that performs like concrete, but with the flexibility to move with the demands of a modern army. Today Tri-Star drive-in containment systems are a standard on most major bases across the country.
Compliance with Spill Containment and Spill Control Regulations is not an option anymore; it is a necessary requirement that cannot be overlooked. Government agencies and commercial companies are constantly looking for more effective, more functional, less costly solutions for their pollution prevention concerns. The future looks bright for Containment Corporation.

Tri-Star® Secondary Truck Containment Systems:
The Tri-Star® is a modular secondary spill containment system designed to contain incidental spills of liquids that occur during tanker truck transfer operations, vehicle fueling, or overnight parking. With over a decade of use in rugged military and commercial environments, and over one thousand systems in the field, the Tri-Star® Fuel Tanker Truck Containment System has an excellent performance track record. Time has tested the Tri-Star's indestructible structural design and the outstanding performance of its fiberglass coatings. Operators have grown to appreciate the surface mounted, re-locatability of the Tri-Star® fuel containment system. Requirements change over time and having an above ground storage tank fuel containment system which can be moved to meet those demands is a major benefit.
The Tri-Star Spill Containment System design is highly adaptable to the end user’s purposes. Tri-Stars have been built in many lengths and widths. They can be used with large wheeled re-fuelers, and small wheeled support equipment. Designed for tanker and truck containment purposes, they make excellent wash pads in a wide range of sizes and shapes.
Tri-Star Truck Containment System Features:
Tri-linear Wall Design: The Tri-Star® Fuel Tank Spill Containment System’s walls have a unique tri-linear design. A steel plate is welded at a 45° angle to the floor and wall, making the side walls into triangular tubes. For maximum structural support, steel gussets are welded underneath the steel plate along the entire wall length. This design prevents the side walls from being damaged should a driver accidentally drive over them entering or exiting the system. Walls come in a range of heights from 2” to 12” high. Standard heights are 2”, 3-5/8”, 6”, 9”, and 10” high.
Fiberglass Protective Coatings: Unlike paints, epoxies, and commercial coatings, which lack structure, the heavy fiberglass protective coating is applied with layers of glass-mat to make it highly resistant to heavy traffic, scratching, etc. Each panel is laminated using tough corrosion resistant fiberglass and resin materials for maximum protection. Resin surfaces can be upgraded to be compatible with most chemicals. Fiberglass coatings applied properly tend to insulate the steel surface from solar heat build-up on hot summer days. Fiberglass has been proven to offer superior physical strength, maximum corrosion resistance and excellent flexibility. The ability of the Tri-Star® Truck Containment System to absorb high levels of static and dynamic loading provides positive re-assurance of guaranteed spill protection.
Modular Panel Construction: Tri-Star® modular panels are manufactured in various lengths, widths, and heights to address the wide range of our customers’ fuel tank spill containment needs. To achieve the desired system length/width, panels are slip fit end-to-end and or side-to-side. Thus, many system lengths and widths can be created joining multiple panels together to create a secondary containment system that specifically meets your needs. Because of this modular capability Tri-Star systems can be transported over the highway without expensive “wide load fees”, or shipped overseas in standard shipping containers. Because of this modular capability we have built off-loading containment pads up to 225 feet long, and wash pads that are 60’ x 60’ for aircraft.
Minimal Site Requirements: Limited site preparation required. The operator should look for a level site (to preserve capacity of system), no off-sets, swales, etc. The site should be sufficiently compacted so that the vehicle using the system would not sink into the surface more then a half inch. Tri-Star® Above-Ground Storage Tank Spill Containment Systems can be sited on cracked concrete surfaces, old asphalt parking lots, sufficiently compacted gravel and road base pads. Some thought should be given to the approaches in and out of the containment area, especially if the outside wheels might remain significantly below the level of the inside wheels, thus exacerbating the height of the entry ramp.
Note that the Tri-Star Spill Containment System is surface-mounted, requiring no excavation and minimal site preparation.
KEY TRI-STAR SYSTEM BENEFITS VERSUS ALTERNATIVES:
Because the Tri-Star System is heavy-duty with a long life, sets up quickly, requires no excavation and is re-locatable, it is a fast cost-effective way to meet requirements for vehicular and truck spill containment.
