Matmortua waste facility houses the companies Containerservice Ottersøy AS and Norwegian Plastic Recycling AS (NOPREC)

Containerservice Ottersøy AS has been collecting waste since 1979.

At Matmortua, waste is received and sorted, before it is distributed to specialized receptions for the various waste fractions.

Since 1997, we have worked specifically with plastic fractions from agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, and are today one of the country's largest collectors of plastic. Over 60% of the plastic packaging from the business community is recycled. Together with, among others,  Grønt Punkt  , Containerservice Ottersøy AS works for the environment every single day, by contributing to increased recycling.

Norwegian Plastic Recycling AS (NOPREC) started in 2017 trial production of plastic granules from i.a. discarded breeding cages, tubes and ropes. In 2018, continuous production of granules is underway, and we supply recycled plastic raw materials from the marine industry to new production of plastic products domestically and abroad.
