Confal is the largest aluminum recycler in Slovakia and a producer of high-quality aluminum alloy for aluminum foundries and a manufacturer of refining preparations for the steel industry.

Almost 100% of the aluminum raw material used in our production is a secondary raw material - scrap. With advanced environmentally friendly technology, we can process all types of aluminum waste, from production waste from aluminum processing and processing companies (eg chips, slag), through scrap from demolition and disposal (construction profiles, crushed waste from car wrecks, used wheel discs) up to household waste (used dishes) and packaging materials (yoghurt lids, food foils).

Compared to the production of aluminum from a natural raw material - bauxite ore, we save approximately 4 tons of bauxite and up to 95% of the otherwise required energy by recycling in each tonne of alloy produced. With a current production capacity of 15,000 tons of alloys per year, we are also a recycler of aluminum production waste.

With today's technology, the company can process tens of thousands of tons of aluminum waste per year. Confal as (originally Kovod Trade, as) was established in the 1990s from a company trading in metal waste. Since 1998, its main focus has been the production of aluminum alloys based on the principle of remelting aluminum scrap.
