COMPREST SA is a commercial company formed in 1994 through the reorganization of the COMPREST Autonomous Authority (which operated under the supervision of the Braşov Local Council), becoming a joint-stock company following the privatization process in 1998. COMPREST SA has been providing sanitation services for over 30 years, being one among the promoters of innovative technologies in waste management.

The company COMPREST SA, with administrative headquarters in Brasov, Str. Vlad Tepes, No. 13, carries out the sanitation service in the city of Brasov and in the neighboring towns for approximately 160,000 inhabitants, economic companies and public institutions in the respective area. It owns 50% of the waste collection and transport activity and of the street sanitation activity in the municipality of Brasov. Besides the municipality of Brasov, the waste collection service is also provided in: Busteni, Azuga, Sinaia, Ghimbav, Bod, Comana, Mandra, Sinca Veche, Sinca, Vulcan, Zarnesti. The company has open work points in Brasov on Str. Small no. 21 (where the fleet/car park, the machines and the dispatcher are located) and in Busteni on B-dul. Freedoms no. 148.

One of the main objectives of the company is to ensure a protected and ecologically balanced environment. We want to achieve an ideal level of selective collection, a direction that coincides with the legal provisions in force. We consider that environmental protection is one of the urgent contemporary problems, for the solution of which each of us can contribute, being responsible for the waste collection method, but also paying attention to the identification of waste that can be recycled.
