DESCRIPTION

Comprenew is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to inspiring environmental care and increasing vocational preparedness through education for all people and segments of society, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or status, through best practice technology recycling services.

It is Comprenew’s mission to protect people and the environment from problems associated with electronics by extending the economic lifecycle of used electronics. We act as a resource for the community to recycle and educate, while providing job readiness programs

Since 1986, some of the largest companies in America have used Comprenew to properly service, recycle and resell their used and surplus information technology equipment. In 1999, the Comprenew team began to provide its electronic recycling and data protection services to the public, free of charge. In 2004, the team began two environmentally-orientated vocational programs for youth and disadvantaged adults. This unique combination of best practice corporate services and disciplined vocational programs produces the highest possible protection to our customers and our communities.

Our “Promise to Protect” extends far beyond the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the data we generate. It includes more than a commitment to recover the highest value from used electronics for our customers. We promise to do what we can to give the people of our community hope for tomorrow. Comprenew redefines the industry standard through best practice technology asset management and recovery services with a revolutionary model. Comprenew’s model separates data storage devices from non-data storage devices, regardless of source. All data containing devices are cleared or destroyed by highly trained staff. Our unique model maximizes value recovery by refurbishing items for resale, while minimizing environmental impact. Comprenew also hosts corporate and community groups for the purpose of inspiring environmental stewardship.
