City Sanitary Service is a family owned David and Wendall Abkes operate the in business in Parkersburg, Iowa. Wendall Abkes started the company in January of 1960. The company has evolved throughout the years but a strive for maintaining quality service and community leadership.  The Abkes family prides itself with being actively involved in community organizations and giving back as much as possible to the community. 

City Sanitary Service moved to its current location in 2011 and can now be found along Highway 57 in Parkersburg. This new location provides customers the chance to stop in and ask questions, see the containers, and pay their bill. We welcome our customers to stop in and see the new automated garbage trucks and residential carts.  This new service has been available since July 2013 for the cities of Parkersburg, New Hartford, Kesley, and Aplington.  

City Sanitary Service offers residential, commercial, and industrial garbage services, as well as, roll-off container services, recycling containers.
