60 Years of Quality & Experience

Champion is proud of its more than 60 years of quality and experience. The following timeline highlights some of the company’s significant achievements in home improvement.

• 1953: Founded as a small manufacturer of aluminum storm windows, storm doors, awnings and screen rooms
• 1975: Became an industry pioneer in vinyl replacement windows
• 1992: Expansion began with the opening of Champion’s first affiliate office in Lexington, Kentucky
• 1995: Moved into 85,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
• 1997: Opened a manufacturing facility in Denver, Colorado to serve the western U.S
• 1997: Became a founding member of National Sunroom Association
• 2000: Moved into our new 502,000-sq-ft corporate headquarters and manufacturing campus
• 2000: Named the nation’s largest replacement window, siding, and sunroom company by Qualified Remodeler magazine
• 2002: Introduced revolutionary, energy-saving Comfort 365® glass
• 2003: Earned the Good Housekeeping Seal for our replacement windows and sunrooms
• 2004: Qualified for the AAMA Gold Label. This means Champion replacement windows have exceeded standards for wind and water infiltration, forced-entry resistance, and component performance and integrity
• 2004: Our home office is awarded the 2004 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for marketplace ethics. (BBB torch award logo)
• 2006: Introduced our ColorBond™ window, allowing customers a choice in designer exterior window colors
• 2006: Earned the Vinyl Siding Institute’s VSI Certification
• 2007: Implemented the Vinyl Siding Institute’s VSI Certification Program
