Established in 1936, CB Industrial Technologies began as Carolina Belting Company, a textile and industrial belt shop. At the time of its founding, Greenville, SC, was known as the Textile Capital of the World, with Southern textile mills producing more than 70% of cotton and woolen textiles. While most of the textile business is gone, our community retains its world-class status in manufacturing and warehousing/distribution operations. Greenville is No. 6 on Forbes Magazine’s list of “America’s Engineering Capitals” in 2014.  What has remained steadfast throughout our 80 year history is how Carolina Belting provides the parts and power systems to maximize uptime and prolong the life of critical equipment. We provide excellent service to companies from coast-to-coast.  In 2005, Bob Hammersla became president of Carolina Belting. Under his strategic direction, Carolina Belting became a member-owner of the Independent Distributors Cooperative USA (IDC-USA), a national cooperative of nearly 300 independent distributors supplying the highest quality bearings, power transmission, hose, rubber, hydraulics and related products available.  The change of the corporate name to CB Industrial Technologies reflects our broader commitment and expertise in motion controls.
