The future of energy is uncertain. The most realistic way to plan for the future is to find the right balance of all of our energy sources. Though the numbers fluctuate slightly over time, Cass County Electric Cooperative utilizes an energy portfolio consisting of 59 percent coal, 29 percent wind, 9 percent hydro, and 3 percent other.
Prairie Sun Community Solar has been completed! Our 102kW solar array, located along 63rd Street South in Fargo is the first active community solar project in the state of North Dakota. Construction was completed in early September 2016. Participating members will see solar energy credits on their monthly bills. Panels are still available for reservation by CCEC members.
