Pirinoli Paper Mill - Overview Cartiera Pirinoli was founded by Gaspare Pirinoli, progenitor of the homonymous family of paper makers from Intra on Lake Maggiore, in 1872 . Together with his sons, he bought a leap of water from the nearby Naviglio canal in Roccavione, to exploit its hydraulic energy, and built the paper factory, starting the production of packaging paper in 1883. One of the specialties was "bigat" paper. ”, Used in the cultivation of silkworms, an industry that was very flourishing in the area at the time.

In 1889at the universal exhibition in Paris, the Pirinoli brothers buy the first paper machine. It was a Bryan Donkin's Fourdriner machine. This new revolutionary machine produced paper in rolls. Previously, papermaking was done in sheets with a slow and laborious process.

Continuous machine 2 In 1937 the company was bought by the Eva family and began to produce cardboard for printed cases , becoming one of the main companies in the sector at national and then European level. Two more technologically advanced continuous lines with greater production capacity were installed in 1962 and 1994 .

Cartiera Pirinoli crossed the line in the year 2000 by placing itself among the top ten continental producers of coated cardboard for cartons from recycled fiber, with a production of over 100,000 tons per year. In 2006 the company complex was taken over by Pkarton SpA, a company set up ad hoc by entrepreneurs and experts in the sector ready to give new life to this reality rich in historical, technical and commercial heritage, aiming at improving company performance.

Cartiera Pirinoli SC is specialized in the production of multilayer and Yankee cardboard for folding cartons and gray / gray cardboard for converting, for tubes and interlayer. The coated cardboard, 100% recyclable, is ideal for making primary packaging: it protects the product and can be personalized with messages addressed to the consumer.

The plant in Roccavione, in the province of Cuneo has an area of ​​140,000 square meters of which 25,000 are covered. The production potential is over 100,000 tons per year. In addition to the Italian market, we are present on all European markets.
