A bit of History – When Joel McKinley began Carter Architectural Panels Inc., (CAP), it was in response to his existing client base, requesting his input and ultimately demanding his expertise, to become a panel fabricator. It was not your average entry into an industry. With a learned knowledge of architectural cladding, it wasn’t much of a reach to further incorporate ACM and plate panel systems, into the foray of product offerings. Through ‘trial by fire’, contracts were offered at competitive pricing and technology and skilled personnel were brought on stream to meet the demand and become comfortable in fabricating to panel specifications.  While in its infancy, both Joel and Mike (Libreiro) reached back into their shared past as metal workers and tinkerers, to rethink what they were confronting in the conventional design of the panels to be fabricated. Their shared ability to problem-solve and experiment, quickly led to a realization that is now resulting in an industry wide paradigm shift. After years of carrying forward their vision to build a better mousetrap, the resulting ACM panel systems – FUSION™ DRILLFREE™ and EVO™ RIVETLESS™ - have been designed with a vision to the future, both aesthetically and structurally.

 Driven by the need to be better through attention to detail and performance, CAP embarked on establishing credibility and marketability of the FUSION™ DRILLFREE™ and EVO™ RIVETLESS™ design, through required testing to the AAMA, ASTM and ASHRAE standards. To date, full compliance to these testing standards has been met and in the case of EVO™, the ASTM 330 testing was pushed to "fail", but didn’t, due to its patent pending design and proprietary system. Due to the advantages of our EVO™ RIVETLESS™ design, CAP Inc., quickly realized that the opportunity to enter the North American market as a game changer, was ours to seize.  R&D at Carter is playing an increasing role, to ensure the paradigm shift toward a better business model at CAP and within the architectural wall panel industry can succeed and be sustainable. With this priority in mind as of November 2015, Carter has re-focused our mandate to support our panel manufacturing partners, in a supply only capacity of the FUSION™ DRILLFREE™ and EVO™ RIVETLESS™ extrusion systems. This new direction will enable the team at CAP Inc., to service and support our partners in their ongoing procurement of extrusion product and marketing to their clients.
