The Company was established in 1988 as Bill’s Coin & Currency and has ran continuously since. In 2002 it became Bill and Mary’s Coin Shop. We sold coins and jewelry and kept growing. We established a store front again in April of 2009. At that time we had only 100 square feet and started our business inside a discount market. We soon became “Carolina Prospectors.” We are able to keep our overhead low which allows us to provide our customers with reasonable pricing. We continue to grow with local sales and now have expanded to this website. We are working to make “Carolina Prospectors” the “go to” company for the hobbyist of gold panning equipment, coins, and metal detectors. MISSION The mission of “Carolina Prospectors” has been to build a business on customer service, high quality products, and as much education as possible on the products that we sell. We believe that a business should be built on how we would want to be treated and respected, and pass this on to our customers.
