Caris srl was born in 1968 ; the reference market was immediately that of the collection and treatment of packaging waste deriving from industrial and service activities.

In 2001, Caris srl designed and built a plant, located in Lainate (former Alfa Romeo area), for the separation, selection and subsequent enhancement of the materials present in the differentiated fractions of municipal solid waste.

In June 2010 , Caris VRD was born which optimizes the industrialization of the service provided through the rationalization of the automatic separation and selection processes implemented thanks to the use of the new semi-automatic system whose treatment potential is approximately 80 / 100,000. Ton / year.

The technology it uses allows for the automatic separation and selection of the recoverable fractions present in the separate collection; the products deriving from the treatment plant consist of plastics and metals which are subsequently sent, through the respective supply chain consortia (COREPLA, RICREA and CIAL) to plants that complete their recycling.

The service provided is aimed at municipalities and / or companies that collect municipal solid waste.

The goal of CARIS VRD is to make available to the "territory", and consequently to a vast pool of users, a system capable of enhancing all the fractions of recoverable waste from domestic separate waste collection.
