Cambridge Brass is one of North America's leading designers, manufacturers and distributors of municipal waterworks products. With over 100 years' industry experience, Cambridge Brass continues to offer the highest quality and innovative designs. Currently, our facility incorporates foundry, machining and assembly under one roof. This allows us to control quality, design and delivery, as well as meet our customer needs in a timely and efficient manner. Located in Cambridge, Ontario, Cambridge Brass is dedicated to providing a wide range of waterworks brass and doing so with the highest standard of customer service.

Cambridge Brass History

As a leading manufacturer of brass fittings for the waterworks industry, Cambridge Brass takes great pride in quality, innovation and customer service. For over 100 years we understand the needs of a changing market and continue to develop products for today and the future. We offer a full line of corporation brass setters, and saddles in no lead brass. Here is our story

Canadian Brass Company Limited

1905       Canadian Brass Company Limited was established.  Original location 415 Dundas Street, Galt, Ontario, Distribution Warehouse in Red Deer, Alberta. Manufactured sink bibs (faucets), ground key brass valves, fittings and municipal water distribution products

1952       Canadian Brass Limited was sold to Fittings Limited, Oshawa, Ontario and subsequently became a subsidiary of that company

1977       Pedlar Fitting acquired control of Canadian Brass 

Cambridge Brass

1979       Galt Brass purchased Canadian Brass and combined the two companies in to a new facility located at 140 Orion Place under the new name Cambridge Brass

1986       Cambridge Brass became part of EMCO Limited when they purchased Waltec Industries

1989       Arista Newman, a sister company that fabricated stainless steel sinks and security ware was closed.  Cambridge Brass became the manufacturer of these product lines in Canada.  Product was carried out by Metcraft and Kindred Industries and was passed on to Metcraft in 1993

1992       Cambridge Brass was purchased by Masco Corporation from EMCO

1994       Expansion of the waterworks market in to the USA

1995       Manufacturing of Institution and Laboratory product lines were shifted to Delta Faucet Company

1999       Cambridge Brass purchased the Hays Waterworks Brass line from Lee Brass, Anniston Alabama and moved production of these to Cambridge including meter setters capabilities.  Two lines were relocated to Cambridge Brass and castings/machine processes converted to accommodate the  product line.

2000       First contract for no lead waterworks product signed with Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP)

2005       100th Anniversary

2006       Cambridge Brass is Purchased by A.Y. McDonald Industries

2008       12,000 sq. ft. product warehouse added to the facility along with electrical upgrades to provide opportunity for capacity expansion

2013       Integration of the stainless steel saddle production into the Cambridge facility

2014       Development of Western Canada warehouse in Surrey BC.  All waterworks product is produced from no-lead material
