Tony Calo began his adventure in the construction industry as a young child. His father started a trucking company back in 1957 and as a kid Tony spent much of his time riding around and watching his father work on construction jobs all over Detroit. This greatly inspired him and in 1993, Tony purchased his first truck and began his own company, Calo & Sons Construction. He has since become a great leader and employer in the Detroit area.

​In 2010 Tony established In-N-Out Topsoil so that he could accept large quantities of unscreened material to recycle it by screening it to sell clean topsoil to his customers. By utilizing the screening process, he is able to save his customers money as well as better the environment. 

​One year later Tony ventured into another area where he saw a need, recycling concrete. Kraken Crushed Concrete & Recycling was founded in 2011 as a place to dump broken concrete, asphalt and more. These materials are crushed to form resources that are used by various companies, homeowners, cities as well as the State of Michigan as a base to build a better infrastructure.
