About Company

The company CABLO Metall-Recycling und Handel GmbH has been a specialist in metal-plastic separation and especially in the recycling of cable production waste and old cable scrap since it was founded in 1949. Another business area is trading in metal scrap of all kinds.

With an annual processing capacity of approx. 20,000 t, CABLO is one of the largest European cable recycling providers. As a 100% subsidiary of Aurubis AG, Hamburg, CABLO is part of an integrated metal group that has a total production of approx. 1 million t of copper products. CABLO is thus also one of the largest copper recycling companies in the world.

With its services, CABLO closes material cycles completely and sustainably, as it provides the cable industry with the recovered raw materials in usable form as copper cathodes, cast copper wire or conductive aluminum.

In addition to its recycling activities, CABLO is a supplier of small pieces of new copper metal in the form of clippings and cathode sections for the electroplating, gravure printing and chemical industries. These are made from Aurubis preliminary products.

The CABLO production site in Fehrbellin / Brandenburg is located in the heart of Europe and therefore in the second largest copper market in the world.

CABLO currently employs around 50 people in its highly automated recycling systems and administration.
