BWR Exploration Inc. (TSXV: BWR) founded in 2011, commenced trading through an IPO on April 4, 2013. BWR is a public exploration and development company with a portfolio of 4 early stage exploration projects, all of which were selected due to proximity to advanced projects within regional exploration plays, in politically friendly exploration jurisdictions. BWR’s project acquisition philosophy includes projects with: existing historical resources, exceptional geological / economical potential, projects with financing viability through systematic, yet aggressive programs, projects with potential for exploitation or sale to unlock the monetary potential of each project. Recently (Dec. 2016) BWR acquired 100% interest in the Little Stull Lake Gold project in NE Manitoba which is presently the main focus of BWR.
BWR is headed up by a seasoned professional geologist, supported by a strong Management group and Board of Directors. Neil Novak, BWR’s President & CEO spearheaded exploration in the James Bay Lowland, his former company “Spider Resources Inc.” was dubbed the spark that lit the “Ring of Fire”. Neil was recognized by his peers and was co-recipient of the 2009 PDAC Bill Dennis Prospector of the Year Award for his involvement in the discovery of the McFaulds Lake VMS deposits, Big Daddy and Black Bird Chromite deposits, and Eagle’s Nest MMS Deposit, collectively referred to as the “Ring of Fire”. Neil helped build Noront Resources Inc. (2005-2009), Noront is currently developing these projects. Neil presided over the $125 million takeover of Spider Resources by Cliffs Natural Resources. in 2010.
Little Stull Lake Gold Project: BWR holds a 100% interest in this gold project. 20 unpatented mineral claims, surrounded by 2 Mineral Exploration Licenses constitute this 38,335 ha. property that is located in NE Manitoba. Project is accessible via winter trail or float / ski plane lake in summer/winter, with a drill ready exploration camp (for up to 12 men) on the property. The project effectively covers the Manitoba portion (40 km) of an 80 kilometer long geological structure (Wolf Bay Shear Zone) that extends from Stull Lake (in Ontario) to Edmund Lake (in Manitoba). 6.2 kilometers of this structure, along southwest short of Little Stull Lake, hosts 5 (drill hole confirmed) gold mineralized zones. These zones have been drill tested with 219 drill holes (37,241m) by various operators dating back to 1985. Most of the drilling focused on the West Zone where it has been estimated that 750,000 tons grading 10.5 g/t gold may exist on project (historical estimate recorded in Open File 90-2 MDEM). 20 kilometers to the south, Yamana Gold is advancing their Monument Bay project through a preliminary economic assessment, they have identified a mineralized structure containing 1.8 million ounces contained in 36.6 million tonnes in a similar geologic setting (Yamana is using 0.4 and 0.7 g/t Au as cut off for low grade pit optimization, and 4.0 g/t cut off for u/g optimization). High potential exists to develop a gold resource “compliant” estimate at Little Stull Lake through an aggressive exploration program over the next 3 years.
Shunsby Project: BWR has approximately 70.15% interest (assuming dilution calculation) in this property that consists of 20 patented mineral claims located in Cunningham Township, SW of Timmins and NW of Sudbury, Ontario. The project is road accessible, with nearby rail and electrical power. Over 200 historical diamond drill holes (1954 – 1992) have tested the project, partially outlining two zinc-copper prospects. 2014 exploration work by BWR consisted of 6 drill holes that confirmed grade and tenor of copper and zinc mineralization with respect to earlier holes drilled by others. Results were consistent with VMS style feeder structure mineralization that could conceptually identify high grade pods of mineralization. JV partner has elected not to participate, will undergo dilution as exploration expenditures are incurred.
Vendome Sud Project: BWR holds 100% interest in the Vendome Sud Project that consists of 13 map units covering 550.7 hectares located in Fiedmont Township north of Val d’Or in the Abitibi region of Quebec.. This base metal focused project is easily accessible by road. The Mogador magmatic sulphide occurrence was partially delineated in the early 1960’s by Canadian Shield who provided a historical resource estimate of 317,518 tons averaging 0.82% Nickel and 0.68% Copper as per MERN filings.
