We operate a modern skip and roll-on roll-off hire (ranging in size from 4 to 40 yards) to meet the requirements of both trade and domestic customers.  Should you require your skip to be placed on a public highway, we can also organise skip licences on your behalf and we can supply lighting to comply with regulations.

Raymond Brown are a registered waste carrier and our comprehensive in-house fleet of vehicles and drivers are all fully CPC trained, the majority of them long-serving employees to the business.  The fleet is also accredited to the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and Project Pictogram, which is a fleet, business and community road safety communication aimed at reducing risks across our roads.  The transport office is managed by experienced and dedicated staff who are always on hand to assist with customer requirements and to keep the ever expanding fleet running smoothly.

brownSkips.com operates three recycling centres across Hampshire and Oxfordshire (chiltonSkips.com) and we also operate our state-of-the-art A303 Materials Recovery Facility, which has been designed to receive up to 75,000 tonnes of waste per annum.

Our materials recovery facility is strategically located just off the A303 at Barton Stacey, near Andover, which serves skip hire in Southampton, Romsey, Winchester, Eastleigh,  Andover, Basingstoke, Fareham, Whitchurch, Newbury, Thatham, Stockbridge and the surrounding areas.

We are continually investing in our facilities to ensure that we have the best technology and equipment to maximise materials recovered and your recycling rates. We pride ourselves on being able to find a source for your recovered materials and optimise the timing of sale to improve negotiation leverage and maximise commodity prices.

Grab Hire Service

We operate 6-wheel and 8-wheel grab lorries that are capable of carrying 12 or 16 tonnes fully loaded. Our Southampton Grab Hire service can be a cost- efficient alternative to the conventional skip: capable of accessing difficult areas and of working over fences and walls, they also allow aggregates to be delivered to you.

Tipping & Collection Service

You can tip your waste at our licensed Southampton recycling facility in Nursling. We offer a quick and friendly service, competitive rates and convenient opening hours, with the opportunity to collect ready-mixed concrete, sand, aggregates, soil and cement.

Aggregate Sales

We are a leading distributor of primary and recycled aggregates, soil and IBA aggregate across the South.  Our experienced teams use their knowledge of construction materials to offer advice and solutions to meet your specifications.

Our fine-quality aggregates and soils are produced at various strategic locations throughout Southern England and are used in various applications such as house building, road construction, surfacing, drainage and as a sub-base material.
