Brouwer Metaal was founded in 1961 by Marinus Brouwer and has been a real family business ever since. Currently it is Gerrit and Frans Brouwer who lead the company, but mother Brouwer can also be found regularly at the counter. In the early years, until 1988, the company's emphasis was mainly on activities as a junkyard. In addition, there were also immediately small-scale activities in the metal trade. In the following period, the company changed location a number of times and gradually grew into an internationally operating metal wholesaler.

The current import and export area covers all of Europe and extends to the Far East with emphasis on countries such as Thailand and China.

BROUWER METAAL IS A WHOLESALER OF OLD AND NEW METAL WASTE FOR BOTH THE BUSINESS AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR.

In addition to processing regular metal waste, Brouwer Metaal is also a permit holder for the purchase and processing of lead, copper lead and aluminum lead cables. It is a fully-fledged company with its own machine and container park and its own collection service. All materials brought in are paid in cash. All goods can be weighed electronically with a weighbridge of 60 tons or with a small weighing platform of 3000 kg weighing capacity. There are the necessary machines for processing. There is a “breaker” with which electric and car engines can be cracked. There is a capacity of 30 tons per day to sort iron, copper and aluminum. Two crane trucks are used on the site. The entire site is completely liquid-tight according to the latest environmental regulations.
