Welcome to Bishop Water Technologies
It is with heartfelt congratulations and best wishes that Bishop Water Technologies announces the retirement of Don Bishop as President and Chief Technology officer , as of February 28, 2015.
Don has been an entrepreneur and a technology addict of sorts since his early 20s, having owned several successful businesses over the years. Bishop Aquatic Technologies began with Don and an administrator in 1994. Don was instrumental in implementing the Geotube® technology at the waste water treatment plant in Eganville making it the first community in Canada to use this technology for highly effective, low energy sludge dewatering as an ongoing flow process. Bishop Water was set up when Kevin Bossy joined the company in 2008 expanding the business with more staff, a move to larger premises in Renfrew, and projects realized across Ontario.
Don’s enthusiasm and joie de vivre will be missed by work colleagues and business associates from around the globe. He will be spending this well deserved time in the pursuit of flying, motorcycles, boating, travelling and working on new technological innovations.
Kevin Bossy and the rest of the team will continue to drive Don’s vision to bring to the wastewater treatment industry, simple, efficient and affordable technologies, that can help reverse a global trend of rising costs and complexity. We look forward to continuing to serve our existing customers and working with new ones as our company continues to grow and develops Don’s vision further as we enter a new era for the company.
2014 WEAO Exemplary Biosolids Management Award Winners
Bishop Water Technologies and the City of London are honored to receive the 2014 Exemplary Biosolids Management Award from the Water Environmental Association of Ontario (WEAO) for Technology Development.
Bishop Water Technologies demonstrated a novel use of Geotube® Technology to dewater ash generated by the incinerator at the Greenway Pollution Control Plant in the City of London, ON. The use of this technology has eliminated the need of a lagoon to manage ash and consequently freed up land that the wastewater treatment plant can now use for other purposes.
