The industrial communal unitary enterprise "Biomechzavod of Household Utilities" was created with the aim of solving the sanitary and ecological problems of the city of Novopolotsk and neighboring administrative-territorial units, involving valuable secondary raw materials in the economic circulation.

The enterprise was founded in 2003 in accordance with the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee No. 439 of 13.08.2003. and until 2010 was under construction. In June 2010 the enterprise was put into operation.

The plant is located in an industrial zone in the city of Novopolotsk. The area occupied by the enterprise is 2.676 ha (certificate of state registration No. 252 / 45-1926, Technical 5 - 1.469 ha, certificate of state registration No. 252 / 45-1925, Technical 4b - 1.2079 ha).

Production structure:
  management apparatus;
 transport area;
 section for sorting and crushing, preparation of BMP;
 production service.

The management apparatus carries out functional management of all aspects of the enterprise in order to ensure the fulfillment of its tasks.

The collection and removal of solid municipal waste from the population and legal entities, the transportation of secondary raw materials, waste and packaging, as well as the removal of biomechanically processed waste in the form of ballast for disposal is carried out by the transport section of the enterprise.

Sorting and processing of solid municipal waste, procurement of SMR, as well as their use (production) is carried out by the section for sorting and crushing, procurement of secondary material resources .

The production maintenance service ensures the sanitary and technical condition of the enterprise.

The enterprise carries out the following types of activities:
 activities for the management of municipal solid waste (MSW);
procurement activity of secondary material resources (SMR);
implementation of BMP;
production of PET flakes from a contaminated PET bottle;
other services (transport services, vehicle weighing services, disposal of used tires).
