AG-CARBON (BIOCHAR)
Ag-Carbon is a biochar soil amendment that increases plant productivity and yield, improves soil water-holding capacity, and reduces nutrient leaching loss thereby reducing fertilizer needs.
Biochar is produced from biomass and is a highly porous carbon substance that works like a sponge to retain nutrients that would otherwise leach away during precipitation or irrigation events. Use of biochar can improve growing conditions, reduce fertilizer inputs, and increase plant yields.
Ag-Carbon is a long lasting soil amendment and one application is anticipated to increase yields for multiple crop cycle.

Results
Research completed with farmers, university partners, and analytical laboratories demonstrates that Ag-Carbon increases yields from 40% to 130% for a range of crops including fruits and vegetables. University research also found greater than 30 percent reduction in leaching of nitrates and ortho-phosphorus in multiple soil types with use of Ag-Carbon.
